The workshop introduces the mechanics of breathing and its
relation to the automatic relaxation response. The interactive format with
simple and progressive exercises allows even the beginner to understand the
dynamic of the breath and its application for stress reduction. The workshop
continues with an examination of the differing states of mind in relation to
daily activities and stages of personal development. This provides the
opportunity for the participant to understand the imprints (samskaras) formed
upon the unconscious mind. Upon reaching this understanding the use of positive
intention (sankalpa) within the meditative state to reprogram the conscious mind
is used to improve one’s lifestyle, remove negative blocks, habits and mental
conflicts. The workshop explores the body – mind – spirit connection to optimize
personal growth and in effect remodel one’s life.
T. S. (Tim) White, a two-spirited person of aboriginal and
European heritage, was born in Newfoundland. His life’s search and study
consists of the intertwining concepts of mind, body and spirit. This has led him
as far as professional study with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet of Canada; Yoga,
group exercise, personal training and instruction from Toronto to Frankfurt,
Germany and Reiki master level training in Perthshire, Scotland.
Tim has developed a lifestyle approach to educate and
illustrate the connection of the physical body through the complexities of the
mind to the source of the spirit. The program is based on over 25 years of
international experience and training in dance, group exercise, personal
training, Yoga, Pilates and a journey of the spirit. His joy is sharing with
others this experience as they travel their path searching for ‘The Serene Way’.
