We've said it before and we'll say it
again. Our youth need our help and the
Rainbow Unity Foundation
provides no better example! Based in Iowa, the Foundation provides
scholarships to queer youth.
We just love drag queens, especially those
that don't take themselves too seriously... Not only do they provide
some great entertainment but most importantly they help to raise a lot of
money for local charities. If you can get past the annoying Merlin,
CuteFoxSA pays tribute to the
hard working "gals" in San Antonio, Texas. You go girls!
Having traveled to many parts of the
world, we know what a good regional or city site for our community can do.
That's why we were pleased to come across
London Gay Man.
Well laid out, simple, fast loading listings of web sites of interest to
gay men living in or visiting London, England. A must-see before
your next trip across the pond.
We love movies and are always on the
lookout for sites that feature gay content. Well, we found it! About
Gay Movies is a comprehensive list of movies (and television) with
gay content. Well worth a look for that next Friday night when you're
just tired of the bars!
"The Bathroom Project" for Atlantic Canada
is only one of the features at
Dyke
Grrls Closet. What is "The Bathroom Project", you ask?
Visit and find out! Also featuring information on Queer Atlantic
Canada, links, graphics and a whole lot more. Well worth the visit.
Okay, let this be your warning. If
you have sound turned on your computer turn it down. We made the
mistake of having ours on quite loud and were nearly frightened off our
chairs! But once you get past the initial fright,
Rickie-Lee.com
is well worth the mild heart attack. Free lesbian graphics, custom
business cards, the ubiquitous information on the site owner plus some other
great stuff to discover! And don't forget we didn't warn ya!
Pink neon? Who could ask for anything
more! DJ Zoe is one of those
wild and wonderful places on the net worth exploring. We're damned if
we can figure out though exactly where we can take in all the frivolity
live! Anyone?
Bad Attitude is a
unique ezine as it follows Danny and Rollo, a couple Dutch guys, on their
travels around the world. The current issue we saw featured the Gay
Games in Sydney. Well worth a visit not only for the travel diaries
but because it just plain looks good too!
Proudly gay owned and operated,
Try-Angles Gay Video & Cruise Bar is a
video and cruise bar located in Johnson City, Tennessee. Check out the
Try-Angles website not only for info on what's happening at the bar but
also in Johnson City. And if you're ever passing through Tennessee,
please stop in and say hi as they'd love to see you!
We're suckers for romance! Larry
& Jason tells
the story of how two people discovered each other through the internet,
met, fell in love, and traveled to Vermont for a Civil Union. It includes
their stories about growing up gay and how they dealt with it. It is open,
honest and inspiring for those going through similar circumstances.
Young
Gay America combines
the anonymity and accessibility of the internet with personal and
inspiring on-location interviews from across North America. Young
Gay America not only provides a forum
for youth to express themselves in a widely consumed media but also
provides a venue to witness the voices of many others in similar
situations.

Because
I Am is a
collection of the writings and letters about the experiences and feelings
of a teen growing up gay. Now 20 years old, Jeff did most of his writing
when he was 16 and 17 years old. A great website for other teens and
young adults coming to terms with their homosexuality.
Broder13.com
is one of those personal websites with all kinds of little golden nuggets
from Broder's photo gallery from infant to current and his life FAQ.
Well done and well worth a visit!
Superdrewby's
mission is "to provide a safe and positive role model for gays
and lesbians on the web." We think they've managed to do
just that. Well designed, well laid-out and well worth a
visit.
Around here we love drag queens.
Not only are they an important of gay history but they do so darn much
good for our communities. And we especially drag queens that
don't take themselves too seriously. Nuclia
Waste is our kind of girl and we think her philosophy of it
"never being too late to have a happy childhood" are words to
live by!
The Onion for the queer set? Or maybe the
creators have just inhaled a bit too much hairspray.
Whatever the case, Heidi
Ho, is home to the ezine "HO", a take-off on
Oprah's "O" magazine. We especially like the cover
art for each issue, which in true "O" style, features a
photo of Heidi. Do you suppose Heidi has her own Steadman?
PRIDE
York Region provides
advocacy, support, and referral services to the LGBT community
throughout the York Region in Ontario. Its newly launched

interesting information for residents and visitors to the York

GLBT-PI
or Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Pride International
is an ambitious project. Everything from events around the
world to the obligatory message boards, GLBT-PI
tries to deliver it all with a great design. Worth checking
out next time you want to know what's happening in Texas as much
as you want to know what's happening in Brazil!
Living in Guelph, Ontario? Attending the
University of Guelph? You're one of the lucky ones with a
resource like Guelph
Queer Equality. Well designed
and tons of great info. Makes me wish there was such a thing
as the internet when I was going to school!
Midwest
Ursine serves the bear and
leather community in the Midwest and features everything from news
to events to safe sex guides. Well designed and full of
great content, this a great stop for bears and leathermen both in
Midwest and beyond. And who knew a mauve hanky signifies a navel
fetish. Wow! The things you learn on the net ;)
Okay, we readily admit it. FuckU-FuckMe has
no redeeming qualities. But we laughed SOOO hard (no pun
intended) we just had to share! Besides, we just LOVE to get
email from people when we use the "F" work :)
